Throughout his career he recognised that family businesses were sold short as they are seen as part of the general SME mix "the family element is barely recognised as technical solutions and systemised working prevails".
Following a prolonged period of research and developmental working with family enterprise as well as post graduate study and academic accreditation Mike was elected a Fellow of the International Centre For Families In Business in 2008. "Every family business is unique and as family business consultants we must accept that we live in a state of perpetual ignorance. It is lifelong study and observation fuelled by a passionate interest in the subject supported by technical business and behavioural knowledge as well as proven experience that gets blended in the process of consultative support."
